There were three moonbounces for kids to enjoy themselves.

One River Alliance and State Street Events Company presented Freedom Fest on July 4 at Pleasant Hill Park, at Delaware and Linden avenues.

The event featured food trucks, vendors, face painting, sand art, games, live music from Philly Heart & Soul and Ryan Biedermann, moonbounces and fireworks on the river.

Tara Gontek, president of the Holmesburg Civic Association, sang the Star-Spangled Banner.

City Councilman Mike Driscoll, elections commissioner Seth Bluestein and Council candidate Gary Grisafi were among those enjoying the festivities. ••
